The duration varies based on the patient's condition and goals. Some may notice improvement in a few weeks, while others might require several months or longer i.e. even years for significant progress. We agree that Speech Therapy is a commitment from you as well as us. Some people graduate from Speech Therapy early within a few weeks and some take much longer as it depends on many factors from health condition of the patient, associated problems, mental agility, the type of speech disorder, etc. Getting overwhelmed is natural but do not fret, we are here to help you! Feel free to ask us your doubts during your Consultation session.
Swallowing therapy addresses difficulties in safely swallowing food and liquids, often due to medical conditions like stroke, neurological disorders, surgery or even cancer. Some people may experience swallowing difficulties or a feeling of something stuck in their throat even if they do not have any of the above major medical issues. Speech/Swallowing Therapists use exercises and techniques to help restore your swallowing function.
We always say, THE EARLIER THE BETTER. If your child has difficulty speaking, understanding language, meeting developmental milestones, difficulty pronouncing certain words, stammers or even talks very fast, have a Consult with our Speech Therapist. Early intervention leads to better outcomes.
Voice Therapy is a specialized treatment to improve or restore vocal function. It’s beneficial for individuals experiencing hoarseness, vocal fatigue, loss of voice, or conditions like vocal nodules, paralysis, or muscle tension dysphonia, etc. Professionals who rely heavily on their voice, such as teachers, singers, and public speakers, should seek voice therapy to enhance vocal health and prevent strain.
